Maria Bulfamante

Maria Bulfamante, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away surrounded by her family on November 13, 2024.
Maria was born on November 17, 1936 in Calabria, Italy to Antonino Leone and Anna Pitella.
Maria came to America in 1957 and settled in New Rochelle, New York. She married her husband, Frank Bulfamante, on September 11, 1960. She was so proud of her children, her grandchildren, and adored her great grandchildren. Keeping traditions was her passion and her cooking will surely be missed. We will always treasure the memories of our times together.
She is survived by her daughters, Anna DeRosa, Rita and Aurelio DiZenzo, her daughter-in-law, Lucille Bulfamante, and her son, Anthony and Marianne Bulfamante.
She is survived by her nine grandchildren, Danielle, Ralph (Robyn), Carmela (Michael), Frank (Kristie), Maria (Armando), Alyssa (Nicholas), Lauren, Frank, and Maria.
She is survived by her five great grandchildren.
She is survived by her sisters, Rita and Frank DiGiovanni, and Loretta Leone, and her brother, John and Maria Leone.
She is survived by her sister-in law, Rosa Bulfamante, her sister-in-law, Josephine Mendola, her brother-in-law, Mario Bulfamante, her sister-in-law, Violet Bulfamante, her sister-in-law, Maria Bulfamante, her brother-in-law and his wife, Domenick and Anna Bulfamante.
She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, Sebastian S. Bulfamante, and son-in-law, Ralph DeRosa.
She was predeceased by her parents and her brothers, Antonino and Francesco Leone.
Visiting hours will be Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. and Funeral Mass will be scheduled for Friday, November 15, 2024, at 9:00 A.M., at Holy Name of Jesus.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Hospital.
