Maria J. (Rizzotti) Castaldi of West Roxbury, formerly of Dedham, passed away on July 23, 2024. She was 64 years old.
Maria had the biggest heart in the world and fought her illness all the way to the end. An excellent cook, no one ever left her home hungry. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren, and her late bichon, Lily.
Maria was the loving mother of Taylor Castaldi and her fiancé Nicholas Bruce of West Roxbury, Stephanie Dauplaise and her husband Ernest of Norwood and Alexa Castaldi of West Roxbury. Cherished grandmother, "Nonni," of Cody Castaldi and Brayden Bruce. Former spouse and dear friend of Stephen Castaldi. Loving daughter of the late Stephen P. Rizzotti Sr. and Elizabeth (Howdy) Rizzotti. Dear sister of the late Stephen P. Rizzotti Jr. She is also survived by several loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Maria's funeral will be from the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St.) WEST ROXBURY, Monday, July 29, 2024 at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. John Chrysostom Church in West Roxbury at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Sunday, July 28, 2024 from 5 to 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Maria's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association (diabetes.org at the link below).
Maria will be laid to rest with her parents and her brother at The Gardens Cemetery in West Roxbury.
