Maria DiPietrantonio, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025, in Palmetto, Florida, after a courageous battle with COPD. Born on June 15, 1944, in the historic city of Athens, Greece, Maria's journey was one marked by devotion, passion, and relentless optimism that touched the lives of everyone she met. Maria's early years in Athens instilled in her a zest for life and a love for family that would become the cornerstones of her existence. She brought the warmth of the Mediterranean sun to every room and every heart she encountered. Her journey led her to Palmetto, where she continued to spread joy and love, creating a home filled with laughter and the aroma of her exquisite cooking. For 54 years, Maria shared a love story with her beloved husband, Charles DiPietrantonio. Together, they built a life rich in love and mutual respect. Their bond was a testament to the power of partnership and the beauty of shared dreams. Maria's legacy is carried on through her devoted daughter, Kristina Trivers, her supportive son-in-law, James Trivers, and her cherished granddaughter, Sophia Trivers. Her parents, Emmanuel Papantonakou and Petroula Kiskaki, predeceased her, but their values and spirit lived on through Maria's actions and words. Armed with her high school education, Maria's entrepreneurial spirit led her to become the successful owner and hairdresser of Caprizzo Hair Design. She crafted more than just hairstyles; she built a community where clients became friends and friends became family. Maria's selfless nature made her salon a haven, a place where people left not just looking better but feeling better too. Maria's interests were as diverse as her skills. She relished in cooking for her loved ones, a testament to her Greek heritage and her immense joy in sharing. Her love for reading allowed her to travel through the pages of books, while shopping brought her the simple pleasure of finding the perfect gift to bring a smile to someone's face. But above all, spending time with family and friends was the treasure she cherished most. Described as loving, selfless, and kind, Maria's life was a master class in giving. She taught us that the most profound impacts are made not through grand gestures but through daily acts of kindness. Maria's story encourages us to live with an open heart, to embrace the beauty in the everyday, and to always make room at the table for one more. As we bid farewell to Maria DiPietrantonio, let us honor her memory by embodying the virtues she lived by. Her light may have dimmed in the physical world, but her spirit continues to inspire and guide us. Maria's life was a reminder that the most extraordinary legacy is one of love, and she leaves behind a legacy that will continue to motivate and uplift for generations to come.

I just learned and so saddened to hear Maria was my neighbor at Rivers Ridge. What a nice lady. A wonderful cook I know how she valued Tina and her Sofphia. Have not talked in a couple or few years. I´m thinking of Charlie and you for your sadness. God bless her and you all as well.
