MARIA (MACIAS) ESPARZA
It is with deep reverence and heartfelt solemnity that we announce the passing of Maria Macias Esparza, who was born on the 28th of April 1949, in the town of Hanford, California. Maria completed her earthly journey and entered into eternal rest on the 2nd of July 2025, in Grove, Oklahoma, having lived a full and vibrant life of 76 years. Maria was a beacon of joy and the heart of her family, known for her endearing humor, deep-seated love, and a subtle, yet sharp, wit. Her laughter and jovial spirit were the cornerstones of many family gatherings, leaving a lasting impression that will be profoundly missed. The matriarch of her family, Maria's life was punctuated with moments of joy and exuberance as she reveled in the companionship of her grandchildren. Her passions were many, from cherishing photographs to indulging in music, assembling puzzles, and embracing the beauty of nature, be it lounging by a pool with her favorite brew or doting on her pets. She is survived by a loving family who will continue to honor her legacy: her children, Frank Duro, Virginia Joye, Gonzalo Amescua, and Israel Amescua; her siblings, Junior Garcia, Leroy Garcia, and Tony Esparza; her sister, Linda Alvarado; and her cherished grandchildren, Thomas Duro, Niko Duro, Storm Duro, Elizabeth Duro, Noah Duro, Oscar Flores Jr., Dominic Flores, Alex Perez, and Maxie Tillman.
Maria now takes her place in heaven alongside her forebears and angels, rejoining her late parents, Nellie and Alfredo Esparza Sr; her siblings Eva Pagan, Bertha Alonzo, Alfredo Esparza Jr, and Larry Esparza; her son David Duro Jr.; and her grandchildren, Kenia Flores, Angelina Amescua, and Isabelle Vasquez. We invite you to join us in commemorating the life of Maria Macias Esparza at her Prayer Service at 6:30pm, followed by her family visitation to greet friends until 8:30pm on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at
Fresno Funeral Chapel, 1136 A St., Fresno, CA. 93706. Maria's Prayer Service and Visitation will conclude in the chapel.
