Maria Socorro S. Garcia, 80, of Adell, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at her home on her 61st wedding anniversary.

Maria was born to Enrique and Cruz (Garza) Sandoval on March 5, 1945, in Texas. On August 17, 1964, she was united in marriage to Rafael V. Garcia.

Maria loved Elvis, President Trump, and the Green Bay Packers, especially #12. She enjoyed listening to mariachi bands, watching Mexican soap operas, egg rolls, and cooking food for others. Her favorite foods to cook from scratch were her tamales, rice, refried beans, menudo, and cheesy potatoes. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she always went all out with decorations and lights. Maria was very giving and enjoyed spoiling the grandchildren. She loved bright flowers and planted beautiful flowers outside her house each year. Maria enjoyed driving around in her red Cougar.

Maria is survived by her husband, Rafael; children, Jannie (Robert) Daly III, Ralph (Laura) Garcia Jr., Rolando Garcia, Robert Garcia, Nancy (Chris) Bunge, Kathy (Craig) Marti, Kristina (Jake) Minick; grandchildren, Robert (Amanda) Daly IV, Brady (Jordan) Daly, Brandon (Lauren) Garcia, Jessica (Alva Richards II) Jensen, Tyler (Brooke) Garcia, Allison Garcia, Bethany Garcia, Justin Zachary, Alexis Streff, Heather Bunge, Christopher Bunge Jr., Aubrey, Parker, Brooklyn, and Hunter Marti, Haven and Ethan Minick; great-grandchildren, Brinley Mary-Rose Daly, Myla and Wyatt Garcia, Alva Richards III, Laynee and Mira Richards, 7 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, Adeline Bunge, Roman Ezekial Chavez, Christopher Scott Bunge III; sister, Elva Rincones; lifelong friend, Nancy Eberhardt; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Lydia Flores, brothers Gilbert Sandoval and Pancho Sandoval.

A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank Wenig Funeral Home and Debbie Pierce for assisting Maria’s family during this difficult time.
