Maria E. Garcia (Muniz) 93
April 13, 1932 – October 12, 2025
Maria E. Garcia, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she was a lifelong resident.
Maria was the devoted wife of the late Fred P. Garcia and the cherished mother of Ricky Peralta and Fidela Garcia, and son-in-law Joey Trujeque. She was a proud grandmother to Andrew Garcia (Kimby), Samantha Benavides (Ryan), Moses Trujeque (Vanessa Garcia), Sebastian Trujeque, and Izabella Trujeque, and a loving great-grandmother to Rhea, Eva, Raiden, and Kyuss Garcia.
Known lovingly by many as “Lala,” Maria will be remembered for her kind heart, warm spirit, and the love she poured into her family. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures — sharing early morning coffee with her sister, enjoying trips to the casino, sewing beautiful pieces, and cooking delicious meals for those she loved.
A dedicated homemaker, Maria took pride in caring for her family and creating a home filled with love, laughter, and good food. Her legacy of warmth, strength, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She was deeply loved and will be missed by her family and many friends.
