It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maria Guadalupe López Díaz Deleon, who left this world on January 15, 2025, at the age of 84. Guadalupe was born on February 3, 1940, in León, Guanajuato, Mexico, to her loving parents, Jesús López and Guadalupe López. She lived a rich and vibrant life, full of love, laughter and creativity.
Guadalupe's life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family, her culture and her community. She graduated from Colegio San Pío X in 1958. On October 31, 1958, she married the love of her life, Salvador Díaz Deleon in Ocampo, Guanajuato, Mexico. Their marriage lasted 59 years until Salvador's death 2010. Together they created a beautiful legacy of love and family.
Guadalupe was preceded in death by her parents Jesus and Guadalupe Lopez, by her beloved husband Salvador. She is met by her cherished sisters, Margarita, Berta and María. She is survived by her children: Salvador Díaz Deleon, Leticia Puente, Jesús Díaz Deleon and José Díaz Deleon, as well as her grandchildren: Alejandra Ortiz, Andrés Puente, Cadence Winstead, Karen Delgado, Sean Díaz Deleon, Salvador Díaz Deleon, Maximiliano Puente, Emma Díaz Deleon, Jesús Díaz Deleon, Christian Díaz Deleon, Gabriella Bailey and Abigail Díaz Deleon, Joshua Díaz Deleon. Great-grandchildren: Fernando Salmeron, Lela Díaz Deleon, Natalia Delgado, Anthony Delgado, Milan Puente, Mariana Delgado, Andrés Jr Puente, reaching the next generation with Liam Puente.
A woman of many talents, Guadalupe had extensive work experience as a catering provider, party organizer, cultural leader, as well as a business owner. Her love for making people happy was evident in her work. She actively participated in her community, offering her time to provide food to city workers and introducing Mexican culture to the youth of Dallas. Her dedication to her community and her passion for the culinary arts were the hallmarks of her character.
Guadalupe was a proud member of the Lions Club, where she forged connections and friendships that lasted a lifetime. She was known for her great personality, her contagious laughter and her creative spirit. Whether it was when she was knitting, reading, coloring or spending precious time with her grandchildren. Guadalupe embraced life with a zeal that was unmistakable. She had a unique ability to illuminate any room, and her sense of humor was a source of joy for everyone who knew her.
In this moment of mourning, we wish to express our sincere gratitude to Leticia Puente, Abner Askar, the Methodist staff, Denise Lara and all those who played a role in Guadalupe's life from beginning to end. Your support and love have meant the world to her family during this difficult time.
As we say goodbye to Guadalupe, we remember her not only for the years she spent with us, but for the lives she has touched and the love she shared. She will remain forever in our hearts, a beacon of light and love, guiding us as we continue her legacy of kindness and community commitment.
Guadalupe López Díaz Deleon will be missed, but she will never be forgotten.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2025 from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M, with a Funeral Service at 4:00 P.M. and a Rosary service at 4:30 P.M. in the Chapel of Jeter & Son Funeral Home, 4830 West Illinois Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75211. Funeral Liturgy of Honors will be on Monday, January 20, 2025 in the same Chapel from 10:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M.

Es con un profundo dolor que anunciamos el fallecimiento de Maria Guadalupe López Díaz Deleon, quien dejó este mundo el 15 de enero de 2025, a la edad de 84 años. Guadalupe nació el 3 de febrero de 1940, en León, Guanajuato, México, a sus amorosos padres, Jesús López y Guadalupe López. Vivió una vida rica y vibrante. Muy llena de amor, risas y creatividad.
El curso de la vida de Guadalupe estuvo marcado por su inquebrantable dedicación a su familia, su cultura y su comunidad. Se graduó del Colegio San Pío X en 1958. El 31 de octubre de 1958, se casó con el amor de su vida, Salvador Díaz Deleon en Ocampo, Guanajuato, México. Su matrimonio duró 59 años hasta el fallecimiento de Salvador. Juntos crearon un hermoso legado de amor y familia.
Guadalupe fue precedida en la muerte por su padres Jesus y Guadalupe Lopez, por su amado esposo Salvador. Se reune con sus queridas hermanas, Margarita, Berta y María. Le sobreviven sus hijos: Salvador Díaz Deleon, Leticia Puente, Jesús Díaz Deleon y José Díaz Deleon, así como de sus nietos: Alejandra Ortiz, Andrés Puente, Karen Delgado, Sean Díaz Deleon, Salvador Díaz Deleon, Maximiliano Puente, Emma Díaz Deleon, Jesús Díaz Deleon, Christian Díaz Deleon, Gabriella Bailey y Abigail Díaz Deleon, Joshua Díaz Deleon. Bisnietos: Fernando Salmeron, Lela Díaz Deleon, Natalia Delgado, Anthony Delgado, Milan Puente, Mariana Delgado, Andrés Jr Puente, llegando a la próxima generación con Liam Puente.
Una mujer de muchos talentos, Guadalupe tuvo una amplia experiencia laboral como proveedora de catering, organizadora de fiestas y líder cultural. Fue propietaria de negocios. Su amor por hacer a la gente feluz era evidente en su trabajo. participó activamente en su comunidad, ofreciendo su tiempo para propocionar comida a los trabajadores de la ciudad e introduciendo la cultura mexicana a los jóvenes de Dallas. Su dedicación a su comunidad y su pasión por las artes culinarias fueron los sellos distintivos de su carácter.
Guadalupe fue orgullosa miembra del Club de Leones, donde forji conexiones y amistades que duraron toda la vida. Era conocida por su gran personalidad, su risa contagiosa y su espíritu creativo. Ya sea cuando estuviera tejiendo, leyendo, coloreando o pasando tiempo preciado con sus nietos, Guadalupe abrazó la vida con un celo que era inconfundible. Tenía una habilidad única para iluminar cualquier habitación, y su sentido del humor era una fuente de alegría para todos los que la conocían.
En este momento de luto, deseamos expresar nuestra sincera gratitud a Leticia Puente, Abner Askar, el personal de Metodista, Denise Lara y todos los que desempeñaron un papel en la vida de Guadalupe de principio a fin. Tu apoyo y amor han significado el mundo para su familia durante este momento difícil.
