Maria Socorro Velez

Maria Socorro Morato de Velez, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away
peacefully on November 11, 2025, in San Francisco, CA, surrounded by her loving family. She was born
on June 27, 1929, in Tampico Alto, Veracruz, Mexico, and lived a life filled with love, kindness,
generosity and humility.
She touched the lives of all who knew her with her humble nature and warm heart. Her presence brought
comfort, her words of wisdom brought peace, and her unwavering generosity reflected the depth of her
heart.
After marrying her beloved husband, Frank Velez, she came to the United States, where together they
created a warm and welcoming home. Maria was the pillar of our family and taught us the importance of
family. She loved with all her heart, always gave to those in need, and always thought of others before
herself.
She was a devoted Catholic, and her faith guided her through life's joys and challenges. Her love for the
Lord and Virgin Mary shone brightly in her tireless commitment to her family, friends and those in need.
Maria's legacy of kindness and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She left a
lasting impact on everyone she met, with her gentle nature and unwavering support. Her presence will be
deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to be touched by
her love.
