Maria Rosalie Abramo Wright, of Brigham City, passed away on October 21, 2024. She was born on September 6, 1948 in Ogden, Utah, and was the daughter of Giuseppe Abramo and Gerardina Lo Tauro Abramo of Italy. She married Milo Wright on November 26, 1982 in the Provo Utah Temple. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and found joy in her many church callings.
Maria's wit and charm made people adore her. She loved music and BYU athletics. She also enjoyed serving in the temple frequently, and one of her many talents was the gratitude she always expressed through written cards and letters to those she loved.
Maria was an avid genealogist who taught beginners how to do genealogical research for over 25 years. She also worked for several years for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a secretary, assisting several members of The Quorum of the Seventy in her daily duties.
Maria is survived by her niece, Sherri (Phillip) Hadfield, and her stepchildren, Jan, Chris, Ben, Greg, Olivia, and Esther. A stepson, Robert, preceded her in death.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at The Gables Assisted Living Center in Brigham City for their never-ending care and kindness toward Maria during the time she was there.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday October 29 th, 2024 at 2:00 pm in the Utah Veterans Memorial Park at 17111 South 1700 West, Bluffdale, Utah.
