Marian "Mrs. J" Jenkinson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on April 12, 2024, at her residence in Port Arthur Texas. She was born on December 9, 1931, in Port Arthur.
Marian dedicated her career to serving as a specialist in kid’s shoes at Joanie and Joel's Shoes Store, in Jefferson City Shopping Center, where her warmth and kindness endeared her to both colleagues and customers alike. Her commitment to excellence and a strong work ethic left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A woman of faith and grace, Marian's life will be celebrated at the upcoming services. A visitation will be held on April 18, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church in Groves, Texas. This will be followed by a Funeral Service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
Marian will be joined in eternity with her loving husband of a remarkable 60 years, John W. Jenkinson, Sr. and her son, Jimmie Jenkinson.
She is survived by her children: John W. Jenkinson, Jr. (Maricelis Muñiz-Jenkinson), Kimmie Jenkinson, Randal R. Jenkinson (Sharon), along with ten grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
In the hearts of those who knew her best, Marian will forever be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her infectious laughter that brightened even the darkest days, her sophisticated, put-together look as she sparkled from head to toe, and her selflessness that touched countless lives.
As we bid farewell to Marian "Mrs. J" Jenkinson in this world, we take solace in knowing that her legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to shine brightly through those whose lives she has touched. May she rest in eternal peace.
