Marian Bench Mudrow April 11, 1948 - February 11, 2025 Marian passed peacefully in her sleep due to complications of dementia on the morning of February 11, 2025, in her home in Centerville, Utah. Marian was born on April 11, 1948, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Delbert and Renee Bench. She was the second of four children and the only daughter. Being the only daughter, she was spoiled rotten. She met her future eternal companion, Klaus Mudrow, when she agreed to a blind date on Feb 5, 1965, while attending Skyline High School in Salt Lake City. In high school she enjoyed being in the Pep Club and was always surrounded by friends. After graduation she attended the University of Utah, Marian was involved as an officer in the sorority Kappa-Delta. Marian graduated with a bachelor's degree and would later become a teacher. She taught elementary school for six years before raising a family full-time. Later she would manage a Sylvan Learning Center and for the last 28 years of her career she was a bookkeeper for Leon Neilson's Accounting. She waited two years for the love of her life to return home from his mission. Marian and Klaus Mudrow were married August 28, 1969, in the Salt Lake City Temple. They were blessed with four sons: Jason, Aaron, Peter, and Mitchell. She resided in Salt Lake City, Granger, Hunter, and East Millcreek before finally settling in 1977 in Centerville, Utah. Family was important to Marian and Klaus. Together they enjoyed camping, motorcycling, running the river in Jackson Hole, boating in Bear Lake, spending time at their family cabin in Nephi, UT, and attending University of Utah football games which included many bowl games and traveling with the team. Marian enjoyed many hobbies such as scrapbooking, sewing, and doing crafts with her grandchildren. Her true love was quilting, and she made many blankets for kids and grandkids. She enjoyed finding unique fabric and loved going to quilting retreats. She would often leave Klaus at home to vacation with her best friends Susan, Tracy, and Vicki. There wasn't a rock in Montana or Wyoming left unturned during their trips. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and very involved in the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She held many callings that ranged from Primary President, at the age of 70, to YW leadership. Christ was central in her rearing of her family. She later was a service missionary for the humanitarian mission of the church, which included making quilts and other items for people in need. She is preceded in death by her parents, Delbert and Renee Bench, and her brother, Dan Bench. She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 55 years, Klaus Mudrow, her children Jason, Aaron (Ronda), Peter (Gwendolyn), Mitch (Desiree), and 10 grandchildren, Courtney, Emma, Cole, Dakatah, Cheyenne, Sequoyah, Heseeootse, Jacey, Kylee, and Abbey. The family wishes to personally thank Priscilla and the medical staff with hospice for their tender care and Courtney and Fisher who helped care for her in house for the last 6 months.
