Marian Overbay Obituary
Marian eloped to Coeur dAlene with her high school sweetheart, Carol Overbay, on March 17, 1952. They moved to Vancouver, Washington ranching turkeys, and welcomed two sons. In 1960 they moved to Twin Lakes, Washington where they bought their own ranch. In 1975, she moved to Spokane to care for her mother.
Marian had a love for music, dancing, and singing. She was skilled with painting, sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She made a quilt for each of her grandchildren and crocheted a blanket for each of her great grandchildren. Marian enjoyed socializing, hosting, and holidays; ensuring Christmas, Easter, and Halloween were filled with special traditions. She was a devout Catholic, involved with her local parishes wherever she moved. Marian volunteered for several years at Sacred Heart in the cardiac service. Marian was loving and adventurous with a great sense of humor, and she will be so dearly missed.
Marian is survived by her children: William (Lori) Overbay, Dennis (Anne Marie) Overbay; grandchildren Dawson (Katelyn) Overbay, Shaina (Carlos) Cervantes, Megan (Peter) Chiarelli, Kendal Overbay; great-grandchildren Lilliana (17), Elizabeth (13), Rilynn (12), Lorenzo (11), Clayton (10), Kinsley (8), Carolina (7), Chiara (4); and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Wynecoop and Nora Lundgren; husband of 23 years, Carol Overbay; siblings Irma Blayne, Marvin Wynecoop, and Joyce Wynecoop.
