Marianne was born on February 7, 1946, in New York City to Viola and Joseph Caramanica.
Marianne worked as a Real Estate Agent in New York and retired to St. James, NC sixteen years ago with her husband Peter. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Southport, NC. She was known by the dog owners in St. James because she left dog biscuits in her mailbox for all who wished to partake. She loved the beach, enjoyed tending to an extensive flower garden and was an avid bird watcher. Her kind and giving spirit will be missed by many.
Marianne is survived by her husband: Peter Riley and one sister: Jean Albano of Westchester, NY.
Funeral Mass will be conducted at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 5269 Dosher Cutoff SE, Southport, NC 28461 on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at 11:00 AM. A reception will follow in the Church Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marianne's name to the American Heart Association.

Marianne was a dear soul. Always ready with a smile, laugh, and pleasant chat, and, of course, a dog biscuit or twelve ;-) for Ebony. We will miss her. Our very deepest condolences!
