Marianne Miller, a beacon of light and laughter, passed away on January 4, 2025, at the age of 64, in Brookhaven. Born on September 3, 1960, in Philadelphia, Marianne was the cherished daughter of the late John W. Miller and Dolores M. (Cremin) Miller. She was a person who lived her life with humor, love, and warmth, touching the hearts of everyone she encountered.
Marianne's life was marked by her unwavering devotion to her family, her many enduring friendships, and her passionate love for life's simple pleasures. She is survived by her loving companion, Dave C. Marker, with whom she shared many joyous moments. Her legacy continues through her son, Ryan M. Hain, and her adored granddaughter, Nora Hain, who was the apple of her eye and her self-proclaimed "bestie." Marianne was a beloved sister to Kathleen Miller, Patricia (Miller) O'Callaghan and her husband, Ryan O'Callaghan. She was predeceased by her brother, John W. Miller, Jr. Her playful spirit will be fondly remembered by her nephews, Brendan and Dermot O'Callaghan, and her niece, Molly O'Callaghan. Her best friend, Donna Payne, stood by her side through thick and thin, sharing countless memories filled with joy and laughter.
Also surviving are her daughter-in-law, Shannon McSorley, many cousins and dear friends.
A proud graduate of Saint Maria Goretti High School, Marianne carried the values of her education throughout her life. Her career as an Accounting Clerk at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital was marked by her meticulous nature and her friendly demeanor, making her a beloved colleague and a cherished member of her professional community.
Marianne's love for Cape May beach was profound, as she found solace in the rhythm of the waves and the warmth of the sun. She believed in the power of friendships, nurturing them with care and attention. Marianne's friends knew they could always count on her for a good laugh, a listening ear, and a helping hand.
Her sense of humor was as infectious as it was endearing, often lighting up a room with her funny anecdotes and playful jokes. Marianne's loving nature made her a friend to all, and her friendly approach to life ensured that she never met a stranger. She had the rare ability to make every person feel special, seen, and heard.
Marianne's life was a testament to the joy that can be found in the everyday, the strength of family bonds, and the importance of cherishing every moment. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a woman who lived her life with laughter, love, and an open heart.

Family and friends will be received in St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 2917 Dickinson St., Philadelphia, PA 19416 on Friday, January 10th, 2024 from 10 to 11:15am. Mass will be said at 11:30 am. Burial will be in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
