Mariano H. Carro, 50, passed away on Friday, October 4th, 2024 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson, New Jersey.
Mariano was born on January 31, 1974, to Hector Carro and Susana Filgueira in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he grew up with his older sister, Valeria, and a close-knit family of aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents. After the passing of his mother, Mariano moved to New Jersey at the age of 15, where he lived with his father, Selma and his little sister, Jessica.
In his 20s Mariano relocated to Miami where he lived for several years before returning to New Jersey. He cherished life in South Beach, feeding seagulls at the beach, driving around in his Saab and working at Mezzaluna Italian Restaurant, where he found a second family.
Mariano had a passion for cooking, especially Italian cuisine, and true to his origins was an avid soccer fan, a big supporter of Lionel Messi and Boca Juniors once they became champions. He also enjoyed watching Formula 1 and tennis. As a child he was a fearless swimmer, loved skateboarding, catch wrestling and going on all sorts of adventures with his sister and his cousins.
From childhood Mariano would inevitably win everybody over with his angelic eyes, his innocent demeanor and his big heart and good manners. Honest and generous to a fault, he was always ready to give away his possessions to others selflessly and was always very truthful.
He was the beloved son of Hector and the late Susana and the loving brother of Valeria and Jessica. He is also survived by his step-mother, Selma Carro, his aunts Celia Carro and Cristina Filgueira, his uncles Pablo Filgueira and Diego Noon and his cousins Giselle Refrancore, Christian Massimo, Diego, Cecilia and Emanuel Noon.

Mariano, RIP! Pablo B
