In Loving MemoryMarie Shirley ClaudeJuly 3, 1973 - May 12, 2025
Please surround the family with your love at a Memorial Service honoring Marie Claude on Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Thibadeau Mortuary Chapel, 124 E Diamond Ave., Gaithersburg, MD 20877.
Marie was born in Haiti on July 3, 1973, and came to the U.S. in 1981 at the age of 8 for her education and political freedom.
Her family immigrated with no knowledge of America, not knowing any English and not having anyone to rely on. She simply had faith in God that moving to the U.S., a country of opportunity, was the right path. Marie attended Montgomery Blair High and eventually attended nursing school to help the elderly. As a child, Marie spent her time with her older brother reading and enjoying quality time with her big sister, imagining how their life would be as queens of their own domain. Marie grew up having a close relationship with her four brothers and older sister and is survived by her daughter Joshanna and granddaughter Genesis
Marie loved others deeply and enjoyed each moment she spent with her close friends, Nieces, and Nephews. Marie was also passionate about living life to the fullest. Marie’s spirit was like no other. Marie mattered. She was here and made a powerful impact on many of our lives. I admire the way Marie lived and loved. I especially admire her perseverance. We will miss Marie so much.
