Marie Gates Obituary

Born on August 19th 1926, Marie pursued her passion for helping others by becoming a nurse, a calling she embraced with grace for over 45 years. On April 3rd, 1948 she married Alfred J Gates, they were married for 53 years until his passing. They resided in Two Rivers where they raised their family.
In her personal life, Marie was the cornerstone of her family, offering love, guidance, wisdom, and the best oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Her warmth and kindness will be remembered by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her husband Alfred and son Patrick. Marie is survived by her daughter Victoria L. Hrdina, granddaughters Jennifer (Aksel) Schnell and Jessica (Anna) Shumow.
While our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we take comfort in knowing that she is at peace, reunited with those who have gone before her. Marie's legacy of love and care will continue to live on in the many lives she touched throughout her 98 wonderful years.
