Marie J. Lambert

Marie J. (Voisine) Lambert, 66, of South Gardner, died peacefully Tuesday, May 21, 2024, in UMass Memorial Medical Center—University Campus, Worcester, after an illness with her family by her side. 

Born in Gardner on June 3, 1957, Marie was the daughter of the late Barthy and Almida (Martin) Voisine. She graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1975. Marie was employed at the South Gardner Hotel for the last 37 years prior to her passing. She was previously employed as a seamstress and by Fontaine’s as a chair maker. 

Marie was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish of Gardner, practicing at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. She enjoyed many hobbies, including making puzzles and crafts, crocheting and knitting, playing board games, and scratching tickets. Marie loved to work in her flower gardens, take trips to the cabin, traveling, camping, Saco and beach trips and Foxwoods. Her family, especially her goddaughter, held a special place in her heart, and she cherished the memories they all created together over the years.

Marie is survived by her love of 38 years and husband of 19 years, James E. Lambert of South Gardner; her goddaughter, Gisele Bowers and her husband Jeffrey, and their daughter Cassandra Bowers of Lancaster; four sisters, Carmen Pellerin and her husband Leo of Gardner, Dorina Manca and her husband John (Dutchie) of Gardner, Jeanine Voisine of Port St. Lucie, FL, Theresa Ouellette (Mother) and her husband Ronald of Gardner; two half sisters Denise Kresco and her husband Don of East Brookfield, and Diane Ouellette and her significant other Kent Weinheimmer of Holden; a brother, Robert Voisine of Port St. Lucie, FL; several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

She was predeceased by her son, Shane O’Hearn, who died in 2012; a sister, Cecile LeBlanc; and a brother, Rheal Voisine. 

Calling Hours will be held Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. 

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. in the funeral home. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Polish American Citizens Club, 171 Kendall Pond Road W, Gardner, MA. 

Burial will be held Friday, May 31, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA.
