Marie Lupi

Marie Lupi, age 83, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. A devoted mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother, and a woman of warmth and wit, Marie lived a life marked by compassion, creativity, and a deep appreciation for life's simple joys.
She was the beloved mother of Marie Antoinette (Danny) Lyles, Anthony Raymond (Crystal), Peter III (Paula), and the late Marlene Lynn Whyte. She leaves behind a loving legacy in her grandchildren-Amanda Lupi, Anthony Lupi Jr., Tabitha Barner, Cody Lupi, Garrett Lupi, Michael Lowe, Vincent Dazio, and Trinity White-and her six cherished great-grandchildren. Marie will be dearly missed by her sisters- Carol Dollins, Pamela Murphy, and Barbara Malnar.
Marie was an avid gardener who found beauty and peace among her flowers and vegetables. A self-taught crocheter, she overcame the challenges of being left-handed to lovingly craft hats for newborns at local hospitals-a quiet but lasting gift to the community. She was also an animal lover with a gentle heart, and her home was always filled with laughter, especially when her grandchildren were near. Marie's quick wit and sense of humor endeared her to all who knew her, leaving behind memories that will bring smiles for years to come.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Funeral Service at 5:00pm at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 13650 Fifteen Mile Road in Sterling Heights.
In honor of Marie's love for animals, memorial contributions may be made to the Michigan Humane Society.
She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of those who knew her.
