Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Marie H. Porod, passed away at home with her family by her side Oct. 25, 2025. She was born in MI to Arthur and Helen. A few years after high school she married Bob (Pudge), her husband of 60 years. She stayed home to raise her daughter, Cindy. Even though she did not work outside the home, she continued to help others, family and friends, in their time of need. She would lend a hand or simply be there for someone to talk to. She never expected anything in return. She did not complain about life because she was happy with her life and family. In her earlier years she loved taking cooking and baking classes at MATC with her mom. She enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening. As years went on she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, sudoku level 6, audio books and games on her phone, candy crush was her favorite. She also taught her grandchildren how to play Pokémon on Gameboy, helping them and their friends level up when they were stuck. She did go on long RV vacations with the family and her brother Dan and his wife Kyle. She also enjoyed a Caribbean cruise with her husband for their anniversary. She will always be remembered as a caring person, always helping others, dependable, sweet and kind to many. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Helen, brothers Billy, Paul and Bob, sisters-in-law Susie and Sharon. She is survived by her husband Bob, daughter Cindy (Erv), grandchildren Karalynne, Derrick (Danielle), siblings Bonnie (Darrell), David, Daniel, Anita (John), Genny, Jim, sisters-in-law Josie and Frances and many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
