MARIE ROAM (nee Lynch)
9 November 1928 – 14 February 2025
Marie Helen Roam, nee Lynch, age 96 of St. Charles, MO passed away peacefully on 14 February 2025 a fitting day for her passing since she was so loved and loved so much.
Marie was born on 9 November 1928 in Bayless, IL to the late Olivia and John Lynch, Sr. She was the oldest of 5 children.
She was married to her loving spouse Robert D. Roam for 60 years. Together they raised 5 children. Marie is survived by 5 children, Dan (Linda) Roam, Carol Donnelly, Nancy (Rod) McKenzie, Robin (Jon) Schneider, Tom (Sandi) Roam; 14 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Marie lived most of her life in Ferguson, MO where she belonged to St. John & James Parish. She volunteered her time doing taxes for senior citizens. She held many different jobs throughout her life and retired from McDonnell Douglas. In 2009, she moved to O'Fallon, MO. She became a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and volunteered her time working in the parish office.
Marie's favorite hobby was sewing. She made many embroidered gifts for those she loved. She enjoyed creating clothing, dolls, decorations and quilts of all sizes.
Nothing was more important to her than sharing time with friends and family. We will all miss her.
Visitation at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral & Cremation Center, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Dr., St. Charles, MO 63304 on Friday 21 February 4:30 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral service at Valhalla Funeral Chapel, 7600 St. Charles Rock Road, St. Louis, MO 63133 on Saturday 22 February 11:00 a.m. Memorials to the Alzheimer's Association appreciated.
