Marie was a beloved wife, mother, grand/great grandmother, sister, and friend. She was born on November 12, 1935, in Minisink Ford, NY, to John and Esther Draxler, joining her three special big brothers Richard, Carl, and Don.
At the age of three, the family moved to Pine City, NY, where Marie graduated from Southside High School and worked at Westinghouse. Marie was blessed to have a blended family of 5 children - John (Matina) of Madison, AL, Jennifer Kinsey (Richard) of Mansfield, and stepchildren Michael (predeceased), Karen Burris (Tim) of Cherry Flats, and Maureen (predeceased). She had 8 cherished grandchildren – Brittany, Tiffany, Tim, Samatha, Sarah, Brandon, Ben, and Savanna – and 8 wonderful great-grandchildren. Marie also had numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marie enjoyed playing the piano, baking, gardening, canning, bowling, and was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and member of the choir.
