Marie F. Windsor

Marie Francis (MacKay) Windsor passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on 01/18/25. She was 87 years old. Marie lived an extraordinary life, embracing her family while following her dreams. Raised in Weymouth, MA, by Chester and Winnifred (Higgins) MacKay, Marie was known by her classmates for her beautiful figure and for her love of dancing. Soon after graduating from Weymouth High School, she followed her path to Southern California where she met her match on the dance floor, William R. Windsor.
The two were married in 1958. They returned to the east coast where they raised their 3 children, Michele, Karen and William Jr. Marie and Bill split amicably in 1978, and this is when Marie truly spread her wings, graduating from Massasoit Community College and then UMass Boston, earning her bachelor's degree in social services and beginning her career as a probation officer with the Plymouth Court System. It was at this time when Marie met the true love of her life, Donald B. Adams of Randolph, MA. They were wed in 1988 and flourished together as partners in life, love and business.
Marie and Don built housing developments together, skied together, embraced a rich life in Bridgton, Maine, together and – of course – danced together until Don's passing in 2018. Marie loved to travel and traveled extensively through Europe with her daughter, Michele. She had a deep love for dogs, especially her old yellow lab, Bryce. Love and family were the driving forces in Marie's life, and the love she gave will echo through generations to come.
She is survived by her 3 children, Michele, Karen and Billy Windsor, her daughter-in-law Susan (Carr) Windsor, her grandchildren, Sean and Kaleigh Windsor, MacKenzie Bray, Morgan Lee, Niko Lee, daughter-in-law Rebecca (Manning) Lee, and Marie's beloved great grandchild, Mila Marie Lee. She is also survived by her cherished sister, Michele (MacKay) Jablonski, and herm brothers Thomas and Chester MacKay
