Marilyn Marie Bell, 87, of Medicine Lodge, Kansas, peacefully went to be with her Lord
and Savior Palm Sunday, April 13, 2025, in her home. She was born September 4,
1937, in Kingman, Kansas, the daughter of Alfred Robert Bloesser and Olivia Marie
(Simoson) Bloesser.
Marilyn graduated from Kingman High School in 1955. Following, she attended
business school in Wichita then worked for Mobil Oil where she enjoyed typing drilling
reports for the geologists. On August 25, 1957, she married Frank Gene Bell in

college. Upon Gene's graduation from Kansas State University, the couple moved to
Barber County to start their farm and ranch operation and raise their family.
Marilyn and Gene were active members and faithful servants at Union Chapel until its
closing, and they then joined the congregation of Community Bible Fellowship in
Medicine Lodge. Marilyn was a member of the Union Chapel Ladies Aid, Flying Eagle
EHU, and a leader in the Lone Eagle 4-H Club. Marilyn enjoyed living on the family
farm in the Gyp Hills as long as her health permitted. She recently moved closer to
town to be nearer to family.
Marilyn was blessed with loving caregivers who enabled Marilyn to stay in the comfort of
her home until her death. Family members will forever appreciate the loving care given
by Angel, Angela, Gabby, Heather, Jeanette, Kayla, Lainey, Olivia and Phinn.
