Marilyn Brass Obituary
Marilyn was born in Brooklyn on May 22, 1934, and moved to the Pelham Parkway section of the Bronx when she was 19. She graduated from Hunter college in 1956 with a bachelor's degree in science, and taught for a few years. She married Joseph Brass in 1958. They shared a blissful marriage for 67 years!
They moved to Peekskill, NY in 1962 and started a family. Marilyn was a dedicated mother, putting aside her own ambitions to raise three wonderful children. Marilyn was an avid reader and lover of crossword puzzles.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Joe Brass; her children, Dr. Robert (Ruth) Brass, Larry Brass and Jennifer Brass; her brother, Harold (Pam) Perry; and her grandchildren, Nancy (Josh) Weintraub, Greg Brass, Jacob Brass, Ethan Brass and Eli Brass. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her sister, Eileen (Seymour) Bart.
Those wishing to remember Marilyn in a special way can make memorial contributions in her name to the Daughters of Sarah Jewish Foundation.
Funeral services were held privately at Congregation Beth Emeth Cemetery.
