Marilyn Mae (nee Ferry) Collier, age 91, of Chagrin Falls, passed away on June 1, 2025, at Kensington of Anna Maria in Aurora, Ohio. Marilyn was born to the late Lydia E. (nee Potter) and late Nowlin A. Ferry on April 11, 1934, in Solon, Ohio. She graduated from Solon High School in 1952. Marilyn attended Cleveland Academy School of Cosmetology, then managed the Colonial Beauty Shop in Chagrin. She was a member of the Adult Girl Scouts of America. Marilyn was a member of the Ohio Eastern Stars and served in the Stephen’s ministry for the Federated Church. She was active in Aurora Senior Center and Bainbridge Senior Center and enjoyed going on their activity trips. Marilyn enjoyed crafting and camping with her family. Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Stuart R. Collier, her sister Doris and brother-in-law, Clyde Whaley, her sister-in-law, Judy Ferry, and her son-in-law, Douglas R Pitman. She is survived by her brother, Edwin Ferry, her four children, Craig (Helen) Collier, Christine (Steven)Popkie, Ken (Jane) Collier, and Kelly Collier, nine grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Friends will be received at St. John Funeral Home, 16381 Chillicothe Rd. (Rt. 306), Chagrin Falls, 44023 (2.5 miles north of Rt. 422) Friday, June 6 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 am. Service will be officiated by Rev. Judy Bagley-Bonner of Federated Church of Chagrin Falls. Burial to follow at Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Chagrin Falls. The family extends special thanks to caregivers at Cherished Companion-Beverly Dorsey and Desley Brown, special friends, Edna Mae Byler and Tina Miller, caregivers at Kensington and the caring staff of Crossroads Hospice, the Chagrin Falls Fire and Emergency Squad, and South Russell Police. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 9775 Rockside Rd., Suite 270, Valley View, OH 44125.
