Marilyn M. Drescher, 84, of Topeka passed away on June 3, 2024. She was born December 1, 1939 in Topeka the daughter of Benjamin and Dorothy Tevis Butler. She graduated from Seaman High School in 1958. Marilyn was married to George E. Drescher on January 11, 1964. She worked for 16 years for the Department of Human Services, State of Kansas.
She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Topeka and later First Southern Baptist Church. Marilyn enjoyed arts and crafts.
Survivors include her sister, Susan Myers and husband Gary of Topeka; daughter-in-law Lori Drescher of Topeka.
Preceding her in death are her husband George; son, Alan Lee Drescher; parents, Benjamin and Dorothy Butler Ragsdale and her step-father, Garnett M. Ragsdale.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, June 7, 2024 at the Kansas Ave. United Methodist Church. Interment will be later in the Rochester Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Prairie Wind Hospice or to First Southern Baptist Church.
