Marilyn Hall, age 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 with her loving husband and daughters by her side. She had been living at Grace Pointe Crossing long term care facility in Cambridge, MN where she was cared for by family and amazing staff for over two years.
Bob and Marilyn were married for 72 years. As a young couple, they welcomed their daughters and raised them in Arden Hills, MN. Marilyn began working at Rose Car Wash as a bookkeeper/office manager in 1963 until she and Bob moved to Pine City in 1988, where she soon began her work in the banking industry. She served as a teller for many years at First National Bank in Pine City and later retired from Stearns Bank in Pine City. Marilyn also volunteered for the Pine City Food Shelf and served as the pull-tab gambling manager for the Pokegama Lake Association.
Marilyn and Bob spent many years enjoying motorcycle rides across the country with family and friends on their Goldwing trike. When they were not traveling, Marilyn spent much of her time gardening, feeding the birds and nourishing her loved ones with delicious food at their Pokegama Lake home, “the cabin.” She enjoyed baking cakes, making her famous fudge, and was a master crocheter. They hosted countless family gatherings, reunions, fishing adventures, pontoon rides, swimming, water skiing, boo-yahs, card games, campfires, Christmas and holiday celebrations, birthdays, and grandchildren sleepovers. There are years of cherished memories amongst family and friends!
She is survived by her husband Robert Hall; daughters Lou Hall (John) and Jerri Hall; five grandchildren: Jason, Sarah (Luke), Ryan (Jessica), Emily and Brittney (Adam); seven great grandchildren: Lucy, Chase, Evelyn, Lily, Jovie, Jordan and Finley; sister Lynette (Al) Olsen; brother-in-law Dick (Libby) Hall; sister-in-law Marge Carter; many extended family members and friends, near and far.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Ardrith Williams; two brothers: Donald and Robert "Willy"; and sister Sandy.
