Marilyn Louise Kiefer Hines, 90, of San Antonio, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025. She was born on October 8, 1934, in San Antonio, Florida, to the late Richard B. Kiefer and Claire T. Kiefer. She was the eldest of her siblings; Richard Kiefer, Kathleen Calegari, Alice Lorraine Kiefer, Theodore Kiefer, Christine Kiefer, R. Elaine Kiefer.

A lifelong resident of San Antonio, Marilyn was a proud graduate of Holy Name Academy. On November 21, 1953, she married the love of her life, Odell Hines, with whom she shared many cherished years before his passing.

Marilyn dedicated her life to her family as a devoted homemaker. She had a passion for gardening, cooking, fabric arts, quilting, and basket making, and was an avid reader. She also had a love for watching her favorite soap opera. She was a lifetime member and volunteer demonstrator at the Pioneer Florida Museum.

She is survived by her children: Richard Hines of Lexington, SC; Michael Hines (Rebecca) of Dade City, FL; Lawrence Hines of San Antonio, FL; Melanie Seljeseth (Paul) of San Francisco, CA; Charmaine Moore (John) of Greenwood, SC; John Hines of Dade City, FL; Roy Hines of San Antonio, FL; James Hines of San Antonio, FL; Nina Marler of Dade City, FL; and Amberley Bozone (Daryl) of San Antonio, FL. She was the proud grandmother of Caleb Marler, Sophie Seljeseth, Colman Moore, Claire Moore, Julia Hines, Kevin Hines, and William Bozone.

In addition to her husband, Marilyn was preceded in death by her son, Martin Hines; sister, Lorraine Kiefer; and brother, Richard Kiefer.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., with visitation from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City, Florida.
