Marilyn Maxwell Obituary

Published by Legacy on Aug. 16, 2025.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marilyn Jane Maxwell, who left us peacefully on August 16th, 2025. Born in Chicago, Illinois on December 4th, 1932, Marilyn lived for 92 tremendous years and was happiest when surrounded with her loving family and friends.

Marilyn made those around her feel warm, loved, and welcomed; she brought brightness to every room she entered, carried a witty and charming sense of humor, and had a smile that was a comforting embrace to all who knew her. She delighted in traveling, had a passion for crafts and photographing memories, doted on her grandchildren, and enjoyed dining out. Marilyn is fondly remembered as "the sparkplug of joy" that lit up the halls of her beloved Stonecrest Community.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Maxwell, sons, Mark and Todd, parents, Elmer and Catherine Hall, and brother, Richard Hall.

She is survived by her children, Jeffrey Maxwell [Marlene], Stephanie Clifton [Tom], and the lights of her life, her grandchildren, David, Mary, Kiana, and Margo, along with many cherished friends.

Marilyn's warmheartedness and radiant spirit will forever live on in our hearts and the lives she touched.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday August 30th, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Stonecrest's Chapel-

8725 Promenade Lane, Woodbury, MN.

The family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Mary Jane Copeland's Caring and Sharing Hands in lieu of flowers.
