Marilyn Renay Tidwell, 64 years of age, of Fairview, TN, passed away August 21, 2024, at NHC-Oakland in Lewisburg, TN.
Marilyn was born March 4, 1960, in Nashville, TN, to the late Billy Darrell Thompson and Betty Clara (Tidwell) Casteel.
Her grand babies were her world. She was outspoken, never met a stranger, and a firecracker. She was always known to be a hoot. She was a member of Liberty Church of Christ. Marilyn loved riding motorcycles, thoroughly enjoyed her flower gardens, horses,and had a love for Blue Grass music and buck dancing.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, Betty and Clifton Casteel; father, Billy Darrell Thompson; and siblings, Darrell Lee Thompson, Kenneth Leon Thompson, and Anita Dawn Thompson. Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Angela (Jeremy Howell) and Ashley (Stephen) Finley; grandchildren, Autumn (David) McNeil, Chandler (Becca) Kelley, Avery Skye Roberts, and Skylar Landen Finley; great-grandson, David McNeil IV; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be at the Fairview Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home, Sunday, August 25, 2024, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and will resume on Monday, August 26, 2024 from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 P.M. with Bro. Bruce Buttrey officiating. Interment will follow in Hudgins Cemetery in Fairview, TN.
