Marilyn Lynn Wilder passed away peacefully at home in Sacramento on June 5, 2025, surrounded by family. She was born on April 10, 1949, in Sacramento, to Paul William Mollet and Bernice Mollet, the youngest of five siblings.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Robert James Wilder, her sister Carolyn, and her nine children: Richard Bayliss, Dana Bayliss, Trina Marie Khan, Tracy Khan, Rebekah Wilder, Michael Wilder, Robert Wilder, James Wilder, and Scott Wilder. She also leaves behind many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought her deep joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Beverly, Barbara, and Gerald.

Marilyn lived a full and colorful life. She once worked as a card dealer in West Sacramento and loved to fish, often finding peace near the waters in Lake Tahoe. In her younger years, she survived a near-fatal car accident that left her with a lifelong limp – but it never dimmed her spirit. At the time, she was raising Richard and Dana, still in diapers, and her strength and resilience became part of her enduring legacy.

Marilyn lived a life marked by grit, warmth, and unmistakable charm… equal parts tough and tender. She made people feel like they belonged. Her greatest pride was her family, and her greatest joy was being "Mama Marilyn" to so many – always connected by love.

A graveside & memorial service will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery in Sacramento on Monday, June 23 at 1pm.

Following the service, a Celebration of Life reception will be held. All are welcome to come, share memories, and help honor Marilyn in the spirit she lived: casual, joyful, and full of heart.
