Marilyn May Williams, age ninety-eight, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving daughters.
Marilyn was born on August 20, 1927, to Albert and Zelma (Nixon) Glass of
Fairfield, Nebraska. At a young age, she and her family moved to
Lebanon, Missouri, where she grew up and would meet and marry the love of her life, Murrell Williams, with whom she celebrated sixty-five years of wedded bliss until his death in 2011.
She is survived by her four daughters, Deanna Williams of Houston, MO, Janie Henry of
Ozark, MO, Brenda Zeigler (Marion) of Manning, SC and Zelma Lee Janecka (Albert) of Taylor, TX; five grandchildren, Karen Blakemore (David), Jonathan Zeigler of Sumter, SC, Angela Zeigler of Florence, SC, Adam Janecka of Cedar Park, TX and Amy Janecka of Taylor, TX; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Marilyn had a long and fruitful life that was a testament to the love and faith she shared with all who knew her. Together with her devoted husband she journeyed through life, residing in Missouri, Iowa, Tennessee and back to their beloved Missouri. Their union was a beacon of devotion and partnership, marked by their shared commitment to serving the Lord. Through mission work and active participation in their churches, they touched countless lives with their faith and compassion.
Her dedication extended beyond her family and faith to the schools where her children attended. She generously gave her time and energy, ensuring that the community thrived and that her children received the support they needed.
For the past seven years, she resided at the Baptist Home in Ozark, where her presence was cherished by all. Loved by everyone who had the privilege to know her, she leaves behind a legacy of kindness, warmth and unwavering faith.
Her life was a tapestry of love and service, woven with the threads of family and faith. As we celebrate her memory, we are reminded of the profound impact she had on our lives and the lives of many others. She will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Eldred Glass; and one son-in-law, Jim Henry.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 P.M. at Shadel's Colonial Chapel in
Lebanon, Missouri on Sunday, December 28, 2025. Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 P.M., also on Sunday at Shadel's Colonial Chapel. Burial will be at Mount Rose Memorial Park.
