Marilynn Helen Baxa, 85 of Gulliver, MI passed away on May 31, 2024, in the presence of her loving family. She was born on July 7, 1938, to parents Stephen Uramkin and Helen Jancovich. She graduated high school in Chicago, IL.
Marilynn married Steve Baxa in Chicago, IL on April 4, 1959. Together they raised four children and celebrated 65 years of marriage this year. She worked as a certified nurse's aide for many years.
Marilynn enjoyed cooking, bird watching, and gardening. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren greatly and enjoyed being surrounded by love and laughter for so many years.
Marilynn is survived by her husband, Steve Baxa; children, Mark (Becky) Baxa, John (Caroline) Baxa, Sheri (Joseph) Ciliak, Douglas Baxa; grandchildren, Timothy, Michael, Joseph, Nicholas, Tyler; great grandchildren, Eleanor, Leighton, Andrew, Olivia, Margaret, Joseph, Dakota, Emma, and brother, Steve (Diane) Uramkin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Helen Uramkin and infant child, Marcia Baxa.
A funeral mass will be offered for Marilynn on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the Divine Infant of Prague Catholic Church in Gulliver, MI. She will be interred at Fairview Cemetery directly following the funeral mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Divine Infant of Prague's building and maintenance fund. Check may be made payable to Divine Infant and mailed to 330 Oak St. Manistique, MI 49854.
