A graveside service for Mrs. Marilynn Rutledge Eledge, age 77, of Wynne, Arkansas, formerly of Lubbock, Texas, is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Lindale City Cemetery in Lindale, Texas with Bro. Matt Dunavant officiating.
Marilynn entered into God's Kingdom, on Friday, May 16, 2025. She was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on June 12, 1947, to the late James "Pete" Britton Rutledge and Jimmie Lou Bohannan Rutledge. Marilynn retired from teaching Home Economics at Hutchinson Middle School and also was a real estate appraiser. She loved being with her family and spending precious time with them, especially her grandchildren and their time in the Middle East. Marilynn was an avid member of Southcrest Baptist Church in Lubbock and later Wynne Baptist Church in Wynne, Arkansas. Marilynn was loving, selfless and lived as a true follower of Jesus. She was generous with all she had, always guarding her words carefully to encourage others. She was always thoughtful, responsible, and trusting. She is loved and will be missed.
She joins her parents, Reverend James "Pete" Britton Rutledge and Jimmie Lou Bohannon Rutledge, husband, Ray J. Eledge in Heaven. Marilynn is survived by many loving family members, including son, Craig Adams and wife Jeanna of Wynne, grandchildren, Ethan Adams and wife Hannah Hartley of Louisville, KY, Mason Adams of Wynne, Madison Dunavant and husband Matthew of Wynne, Mackenzie Adams of Wynne. She is also survived by her brother, C. James Rutledge and wife Janet of Lindale, Texas, niece, Allison Rutledge of Lindale, Texas, nephew, Cory Rutledge and wife Cassie of Spring, Texas, and their children Connor and Cameron. Finally her best friends and in-laws, Jeannie and Jr. Olive of Lubbock, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wynne Baptist Church for Mission Trip use, Wynne Baptist Church, P. O. Box 874, Wynne, Arkansas 72396.
