Mario Ciminelli Obituary
Greece: Monday, July 8, 2024, in his 100th year. Predeceased by his wife, Catherine (Borreggine) Ciminelli; father and mother, Eduardo and Anna Ciminelli; brother, Dominic Ciminelli. He is survived by his children, Anne Ciminelli (significant other, Thomas J. Freeman, III), Edward Ciminelli (Nancy), Mario (Maria) Ciminelli, Tina Ciminelli; grandchildren, Edward (Jessica) Ciminelli, Sean Ciminelli (significant other, Katy Richter), Michael Ciminelli, Gianna Ciminelli, Mario Ciminelli, Nicholas Colaprete (significant other, Nicole Decker), Parker Mangone; great grandchildren, Gabriel and Vivienne; sisters-in-law, June Borreggine, Marie Borreggine, Loretta Vito; many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Ciminelli was a salesman of men's clothing at Bonds, a Rochester City Court Attendant, and a Monroe County Civil Deputy. He was a proud United States Army Veteran who served during WWII in Europe from 1943-1945, where he participated in the D-Day invasion at Omaha Beach in France, The Battle of the Bulge in Belgium, and multiple battles in Germany. He enjoyed fishing, handicapping horses, golfing and bowling.
No prior calling. Services and interment were privately held with his family. Those wishing, donations may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in his memory.

Anne was a "mentor" to me when I started out in the banking industry. Life lessons I learned from working with Marilyn Kea, Doris Hannah, Bill Weiss and "Ro, G". My mother Eartha and I send our sincere condolences. To you and your family. Trent

As Anne's best friend since we were teenagers I was in and out of her house constantly as I felt at home with her parents as I did with mine. In later years after her mom was gone we had some Sunday dinners with dad and lively conversations. We lost another one from the greatest generation. My love and condolences to the family.

My memories of Uncle Mario are coupled with those of Aunt Kay. I loved visiting their home where Uncle Mario would take me outside to see all of the vegetables in his garden while Aunt Kay would always have some wonderful dessert that she´d just baked. I always remember Uncle Mario outside- either manicuring his lawn or tending to the garden. Anne, Ed, Mario and Tina, you were so blessed with having your dad for so many wonderful years. Take comfort in knowing that he´s joined so many of our family members in heaven. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you all.
