Mario C. Rubinetti 84 years old of Toms River passed away June 26, 2022 at Jersey Shore Medical Center. Born in Pescopagano, Italy, Mario was a skilled cabinet maker for Dolly Madison Kitchens in Springfield, NJ until his retirement.
Mario served in the United Sates Army as a medic and he was the husband of the late Caroline who died in 2021 after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
Surviving are his sons John and his wife Sharry, Daniel and his wife Linda and his sisters Antoinetta Rubinetti and Brigida Rubinetti. Also surviving are his cherished grandchildren Michael, Alexander, Victoria and Nicholas.
Mario enjoyed spending time with his family - especially his grandchildren - where he would share stories about growing up in Italy - he never failed to make them laugh and they adored him and his wit and sense of humor and he would forever want to discuss and debate the success and failure of the NY Yankees with his sons. May he always be remembered for one of his famous sayings, "Why don't the Yankees bunt more? - nobody would expect it - the element of surprise!"
As one of his close friends would attest to, Mario was a simple man yet could be quite complex. He was always thinking and analyzing -sometimes over-analyzing - but his greatest love and what he lived for was his wife Caroline - who he cared for while she fought Alzheimer's - he cared for her until her passing over the course of five years in the ultimate show of love, affection and selflessness.
He will be missed every day by those he loved and who loved him. Visiting will be Friday 11:00am until 2:00pm at the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home 2482 Church Rd., Toms River. Funeral services will begin 2:00pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park. www.silvertonmemoiral.com.Mario lost his beloved wife Caroline to Alzheimer's so the family would appreciate in lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated.

Grandpa Mario was a wonderful man and I am so happy to have had the opportunity to know him. Will miss seeing him at family gatherings and hearing his stories. He was a wonderful father and treated my children like they were his own grandchildren. Love to John, Sharry, Dan, Linda, Michael, Alex, Victoria and Nick. He will be missed!
