Marion E. Hagemeister

Marion E. (Macdonald) Hagemeister, age 87, a Chelmsford resident, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, October 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur Hagemeister with whom she enjoyed 47 years of marriage until his passing in 2005.
She was born in Boston on April 29, 1938, and was the daughter of the late Allison and Elizabeth (Edison) Macdonald.
Marion grew up in Jamaica Plain before moving to Revere where she graduated from Revere High School. She was a long time bookkeeper for Hooker Oil and then Alliance Express, both in Chelsea. She was an active member of the Winthrop Emblem Club before becoming a member of the Elks for the last 20+ years. Marion loved traveling which included yearly Cruises, trips to the Casino, and many Elks Conventions. She was an avid reader and could often be found working on a puzzle, but her favorite pastime was just being with her family and friends.
Marion is survived by her daughter Debra Sawchuk and her husband Thomas of Chelmsford; her sons Arthur Scott of Revere, and William and his wife Denise of Swampscott; her 10 grandchildren; her 10 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her son Robert Hagemeister; her brothers Allison Macdonald and William Macdonald; and her sisters Barbara Sirignano and Elizabeth Billcliff.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks, 777 South St. Tewksbury, on Saturday, November 29. 2025 from 1 pm to 4 pm.
Memorial donations may be made in Marion's memory to the Elks National Foundation.
