Marion J. "Jay" Summers, age 92, of Canton, Ohio, passed away March 25, 2024. He was born July 2, 1931 to the late Sylvester and Mildred (Evans) Summers. In addition to his biological parents, he was preceded in death by his parents that raised him, Mr. and Mrs. Strebey; his beloved wife, Norma E. (Knutty) Summers; his dear son, Stanley Summers; siblings, Lela (Summers) Yost and Helen (Summers) Buxton; half-brother, Robert Ritz. He leaves to cherish his memory, his brother, John Summers; nephew, Gary (Peggy) Summers and their son, Erik (Virginia) Summers; niece, Lori (Mark) Sutton; two half-sisters, Judy Hobbs and Linda (Al) Collins.
Jay proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. during the Korean conflict. He loved tinkering and spending the holidays with his family. In addition, he was incredibly an active member of his church. Jay will be deeply missed as his family honors his life and legacy for many years to come.
