Marissa Kay (Dyer) Ollech Freeland, Michigan
Beloved mother, daughter and sister passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the age of 42. The daughter of Richard and Mary Kay (Eustis) Dyer, Marissa was born on February 4, 1982 in Saginaw, Michigan. Marissa graduated from Heritage High School Class of 2000. She earned her Bachelor's Degree from Saginaw Valley State University and then her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Denver. Marissa has been a Clinical Therapist for Michigan Psychological for the last six years. She enjoyed being outdoors; especially near the water; singing karaoke, baking, giving the perfect gifts, and always planning and looking forward to a new adventure. Marissa was her children's greatest and loudest cheerleader. Marissa was deeply loved by her colleagues and clients and her joyful spirit will always be remembered.
Surviving to cherish her memory are four children: Madelyn, Makaylen, Jonathan and Joshua Ollech, Freeland; her former spouse Jonathan Ollech, Freeland; her parents Richard and Mary Kay Dyer, Saginaw; her brothers Matthew Dyer, Saginaw; Bryan (Anna) Dyer and their sons, Wesley and Ernie, Grand Rapids; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Marissa was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Honoring Marissa's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of her life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at Hopevale Church, 4873 N. Center Rd. Pastor Sam Burke will officiate. Friends may gather at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests all expressions of sympathy be directed to University of Michigan – CS Mott Children's Hospital, 1500 E. Medical Center Drive, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48109. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
