Marivel Gonzales, 54, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025.
Marivel was born on September 13,1970 in Uvalde, Texas to the late Ruben and Elena (Castro) Gonzales.
Left to cherish the memory of Marivel is her daughter, Stephanie Gonzales; sisters, Laura (Daniel) Baker, Diana Gonzales, and Melissa (DeRon) Brown; brother, Ruben Gonzales, Jr; grandchildren, Mariona Gonzales and Daimon Dokey; nephews, Alexander (Lauren) Gonzales, Gavin Adams, Jorden Brown; nieces, Rebecca Gonzales, Kiera Brown; and best friend, Tanya Clementi.
Marivel attended Riley High School. She worked for Taco Bell from 1990-1994, then went to work for Burger King until 2010. She played softball for South Side Little League in her younger years. Softball was the sport she excelled in. Marivel enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, and sports. She also enjoyed going out to eat with her best friend, Tanya. Marivel loved her daughter and grandchildren, spending time with them brought her the most joy in life. Family was everything to her. She was a caring, loving, giving person and helped anyone she could. Marivel will be forever loved and greatly missed.
Visitation for Marivel will be 2:00PM to 8:00PM, Monday, May 5, 2025, in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., South Bend with a Rosary to be prayed at... A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:30AM on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.
