Marjorie Ann Cox, 82, of Albany, GA, died March 14, 2022 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 10:00 am at Andersonville National Cemetery.  Mr. Ross Powell will officiate.

 

Mrs. Cox was born in Blakely, GA on October 13, 1939 to Henry and Myrna Reno.  She grew up in Albany, GA and attended Albany schools. She was a member of Radium Springs Church of Christ and was a homemaker, wife, and mother. Mrs. Cox enjoyed fishing, working with flowers, was a great cook, and made the best preserves. She also worked with Keenan’s Auto Parts as a driver, worked in the garden department at Albany Lawn and Garden Center, and at Cato’s Nursery.

 

Survivors include her husband, Eddie Cox of Albany, GA, her children, Steven Cox of Worth County, GA and Teresa Barton of Albany, GA, her siblings, Lawrence Reno of Lee County, GA and Kenny (Sandy) Reno of Lineville, AL, her grandsons, Brad (Casey) Cox of Cordele, GA and Eric (Carmen) Cox of Tallahassee, FL and seven great-grandchildren.

 

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home.
