Marjorie Faye Culbertson

RICHMOND, Ind. - Marjorie Faye Wolfe Culbertson died on November 7, 2025. She was a native Hoosier who began life on a farm in Bath, Indiana in 1928, during the depression. Marjorie married the love of her life, Noel Eugene Culbertson, in Richmond, Indiana in 1950. By 1956 she had three children and a new home on Round Barn Road North near Centerville, IN. In 1964 Gene took a job in Buffalo, NY, and she bravely followed. After Buffalo, they moved on to Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Woodstock, Ontario, Kansas City and then Fort Walton Beach, FL. After Gene's death, she moved back to Richmond which was always her home in her heart.
Marjorie left a legacy that none of her children can follow. She was a beautiful seamstress and made almost all of her children's clothing, her grandchildren's clothing and even some of her husband's clothing. Marge also made the best 'sticky rolls' which were only for Sundays. Marge and Gene spent many summers escaping the Florida heat by returning to the Culbertson farm in Milton. Many of her happiest times happened in the Richmond area.
Marjorie was the sister of June Wolfe Hebenstreit and Melvin Wolfe who both preceded her in death. She leaves three children: Rick (Robin) of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Karen Sauskojus (Dean) of Bozeman, MT, and Kathy (Jerry) of Charleston, SC. In addition, she has a niece who was also her best friend, Judy Hebenstreit Coyle of Brookville, OH. Marge also has 6 grandchildren, Ryan Squires, Scott Squires, Heather Culbertson, Matthew Culbertson, Courtney Squires Kozelski, and Ben Sauskojus. She will be missed by great-grandchildren, Natalie Squires, Norah Squires, Allisyn Culbertson, Ashlee Culbertson, Quinlan Squires, Ethan Culbertson, and Niall Squires.
Marge has numerous nieces and nephews, and she was especially fond of Tara Fuerst Gilland.
The family has only gratitude for the staff at Arbor Trace where Marge was well liked and lovingly cared for by the staff.
There are no services scheduled for Marjorie Culbertson. Doan & Mills Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
