Marjorie Graichen Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McWilliams Funeral Home - Alpena on Jan. 5, 2023.
Marjorie J. Graichen, 91, of Alpena passed away January 3, 2023 at Medilodge of Greenview.
Marge was born March 3, 1931 in Alpena to the late William and Sophie (Lang) Weinkauf. In 1949 she met the love of her life, Clyde Graichen. The two joined hands in marriage in August of 1949. Marge was a very caring person who always had an open door policy at her home for anybody in need of assistance. She also had a fantastic sense of humor that was sure to bring a smile to your face. Marge enjoyed singing in the "Sweet Adelines" women group during her younger years. She also enjoyed bowling, golfing, and trips to the casino. She will be dearly missed.
Marge is survived by her 2 children; Marjorie Marceau Wisniewski, and Clyde III (Jeanne), 4 grandchildren; Jeffrey (Erin) Marceau, Jennifer (Scott) Stevens, Jessie Graichen (Ryan Reddie), Gina (Chris) Kauffman, 8 great-grandchildren; Ava and Alex Stevens, Jase and Evan Marceau, Connor, Easton, and Hanna Kauffman, and Aubrie Reddie, her sister Sally, and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving are the extended family of Mike Wisniewski; Phil (Patty) Wisniewski, Kris (Bill) Burrone, and their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde, her siblings; Marie, Bernard "Butch", Jean, Marlene, Richard, and son in-law; Mike Wisniewski. The family would like to thank Kelly and Tom of Hospice of Michigan and their entire staff for their care and compassion. Also, to the staff at Medilodge of Greenview for their extraordinary care, compassion and love for mom during her stay.
Per her wishes Marge has been taken for cremation with a private graveside service to take place at a later date. Please consider a memorial donation to Hospice of Michigan in memory of Marge. Arrangements have been entrusted with McWilliams Funeral Home.
