Marjorie Mudd

Marjorie E. (Burford) Mudd of Mount Vernon, passed away Friday, March 7, 2025 in the morning at her daughter, Kendra's home. She was 102 years old. She was from Cameron, Illinois and lived most of her life in Galesburg, Illinois. She traveled all over the world with her husband, Kenneth Mudd, who preceded her in death as well as her oldest daughter, Connie Filer. She was a homemaker who loved, and was loved by her family and friends. She was a Girl Scout Leader, a member of the Daughter's of the American Revolution and President of the Knox County, Illinois Homemakers Extension.
She is survived by her daughter, Kendra Peterson (Dale Peterson), her granddaughters, Julie Kubitz (Ben Kubitz) of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Jolynn Kennedy (Michael Kennedy) of River Forest, Illinois, and one grandson, Kenneth Filer of Champaign, Illinois. Also four great-grandchildren, Shayna Sawyers of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Katie (Chicago), Lily (Chicago) and Allie (Paris France) Kennedy.
Per Marjorie's request she will be cremated and no services will be held.
