Marjorie Neabling Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mid-Wisconsin Cremation Society - Schofield on Dec. 2, 2025.
Marjorie Carol Neabling passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on November 8, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, humor, faith, and memories.
Marge was born on July 3, 1939, to parents Carlton and Velma Becker of Winneconne, Wisconsin. She attended Winneconne High School, where she was named Prom Queen and where she found her talent playing a number of musical instruments, including piano, clarinet, accordion, and, later on in life, playing the organ. She later reconnected with her High School sweetheart, Gordon Neabling, and was united in marriage in June of 2003.
Marge enjoyed being outdoors mowing, taking care of her well-manicured lawn, and attending to her beautiful flowers. She also enjoyed relaxing on her front porch swing with her dogs nearby. She enjoyed splitting firewood, cooking on her vintage wood-fired stove. She loved riding her golf cart around the campground with her husband and pups at her side, often surprising neighbors with her iconic "Oooga" horn.
Her sense of fun was matched by her adventurous spirit-driving her side-by-side through mud-holes, sharing stories and "talking smart" around campfires, watching Packer and Badger games, and sipping an Ol' Smokey Salty Caramel or UV Blue. She loved to listen to 1950s and 1960s classics, country western favorites, and patriotic music. Marge loved the holidays; she decorated her home for the seasons, baked Christmas cookies, prepared Easter baskets, and especially enjoyed celebrating the 4th of July.
Her family will always remember her for her sharp wit, her beautiful smile, her funny stories, especially the unforgettable night a squirrel surprised her in the living room-and long, heartfelt conversations on the front porch swing. She will also be remembered for babysitting for many local families. She loved "her kids" and stayed in touch with many of them long after they left her care. Marge will also be remembered for her faith in Jesus, which guided her through every season of life.
She is survived by her husband, Gordon, her son, Robert Elkins (Tammy), her brothers, Ronald Becker (Janet) and Alan Becker, along with nieces, nephews, and stepchildren.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Asquith and his staff at the Aspirus Cancer Center, Barbie and the entire Synergy Home Health Care team, and Aspirus Hospice for their compassionate and devoted care. A special and deeply felt thank you is extended to Marge's niece, Barb Keys, for her loving support and tenderhearted care throughout Marge's journey. In the final weeks, Gordon compassionately and devotedly cared for his wife without hesitation. He, along with Barb, made Marge's passing one of grace and peace.
A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Marge at a later date to be announced.

I am so sorry to hear of Marge's passing. She was my Godmother. We had kept in touch with Christmas cards each year. I knew she wasn't in good health but this took me by surprise! God be with you,
