Marjorie Elizabeth Norton

Marjorie Elizabeth Bartells Norton, 95, of El Campo, passed away December 8, 2025. She was born on October 14, 1930 in Erie PA to the late Frank and Ruth Penfold Bartells. Marjorie worked as an office manager. When she retired, she became a full time RV'er and traveled around the United States. She volunteered at El Campo Memorial Hospital as a Sunshine Lady. She was also a member of the First Methodist Church and loved to read her Bible every morning. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and will be dearly missed by all who met her.

She is survived by her two children, April Yackel and Mark Lavigne (Tami); seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Lewis Lavigne.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 11 at Oaklawn Memorial Park Cemetery in El Campo.
