Marjorie Quick Obituary

Published by Legacy on Feb. 27, 2026.
Marjorie Elba (Morse) Quick, 93, of Frankenmuth, Michigan, and formerly from Midland, Michigan, entered heaven on February 24, 2026. Having just celebrated her birthday on Valentine's Day, she was delighted to have made it to 93 like her mother and grandmother before her.

After being born in Bay City, Michigan, she was excited to have lived in many faraway places such as Philippines and China as well as New York to name a few.

Marjorie met Allan Quick while in high school, and they were married years later in a Thanksgiving ceremony in Bay City, Michigan, on November 24, 1955.

She earned a bachelor's degree in arts from Central Michigan University and was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. Marjorie was blessed with the gift of being a talented artist throughout her lifetime. She dabbled in all types of medium, but watercolors were her favorite. Her beautiful paintings adore the walls in many homes and were also displayed proudly at the Midland Center for the Arts. For a few years she taught art in the public school system.

Marjorie and her husband Allan loved sailing the Great Lakes, but most notably the northern channel between the US and Canada. In their later years they traveled all over North America in their Volkswagen Fahrvergnuegen camper van. They were also members of Memorial Presbyterian Church in Midland, Michigan, for over 50 years before moving to Frankenmuth.

Marjorie is survived by her son David Quick (Lucinda); daughters, Connie Dalton (Steve) and Kerrie Hill (Ron); grandchildren, Jeremy Dalton, Lilliana Hill, Olivia Quick, and Isabella Quick; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Allan on September 1, 2022, shortly before their 67th wedding anniversary; her parents, Louis and Gertrude (Schultz) Morse; and her two brothers, Frederick Morse and Donald Morse.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and the family is planning a private celebration of life service in the future.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Midland Center for the Arts, Midland Dow Gardens or charity of your choice.
