Marjorie Schloeder, 85, passed away peacefully on April 24th, 2024, at Samaritan Summit Village, where she had been a resident for a short time.
Marjorie was born on February 10th, 1939, to the late Arnold and Mildred (Chubb) McCallops while at home in Champion. She worked for the Carthage School District as a janitor up until her retirement.
She enjoyed knitting, going bowling, and having a drink with her favorite nieces.
She is survived by a sister, Rose (Jess) Hasting; nieces and nephews, Carol (Bert) Gutierrez, Linda Ryan, Terri McCallops, Laura McCallops, and Bruce McCallops; and several cousins.
She is predeceased by her parents; her husband, Jack Schloeder; a brother, Bill McCallops; and a sister, Vivian McCallops.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Samaritan Summit Village staff, especially those who worked in the Extended Care Unit on the second floor.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Marjorie's name to a charity of one's choice.
Per her wishes, there will be no public calling hours. A graveside service will be held on May 18th, 2024, at Hillside Cemetery in Champion.
