Marjorie E. Toelle

Marjorie Toelle, 98, died on Friday, January 7, 2022, at Country Terrace in Stratford, Wisconsin.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Ebenezer United Church of Christ, Town of Cleveland, where the visitation will be from 9:00 am until service time at the church. Rev. Doris Ruben will officiate. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Sauter / Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Marjorie was born on August 21, 1923, in Wausau to Otto and Johanna (Hagen) Gust. She was a 1940 graduate of Stratford High School. She worked in Chicago, Illinois before returning to Marathon County and enrolling in nursing training at St. Mary's in Wausau, Wisconsin. She served for several months at Wood Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
After many family supper exchanges and being fellow classmates at Balsam Grade School, Marge married the true love of her life, Lawrence Toelle on August 31, 1946 at Ebenezer E&R Church.
Marjorie is survived by her children, Lauren (Alfred) Schulz of Newton, Kansas and Mark (Helen) Toelle of Marshfield. She is also survived by four granddaughters, nine great grandchildren, and two step great grandchildren. She is further survived by brother Wally (Pat) Gust of Milwaukee, sisters Joyce Engel of Rice Lake, Phyllis Knutson of New Berlin and Edie Achee of Phoenix.
She was predeceased by her parents, a son Stephen on December 28, 2009, a granddaughter Michelle (James) Hanlon, a great granddaughter Emily Carlson and two sisters, Goldie (John) Stick, Helen (Alvin) Kratzer, brothers Edmund (Gertie) Gust, Bill (Irene) Gust, Red (Peg) Gust, Fritz, Engel and Paul Achee, in-laws Elvera (Robert) Schulte/(Elmer) Reinke, Ellenora (Elmer) Reinke, Rose Marie (David) Meilahn, George Toelle.
Marge's family would like to thank the staff of Country Terrace for the loving care she received while residing there. Her family would also like to thank Heartland Hospice for their kind and supportive care.
